We now have an exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Catchment Operator for our team based in Launceston, covering sites in Cornwall.
[b]** [/b][b]A full UK Driving Licence is an essential requirement, as you will participate in a flexible working pattern, including weekend working and standby**[/b]
As a Catchment Operator, you will carry out reactive and planned work as scheduled to deliver the day to day operation and maintenance of the Sewage Pumping Stations. You will provide services of the required quality and quantity, in a sustainable manner that meets the required internal and external customer service standards, whilst protecting the environment. Responsibilities include:
*Carry out on site monitoring to ensure effective site operation and that compliance requirements are maintained.*Respond effectively to site conditions and monitoring information that ensure compliance is maintained and the environment is protected.*Store and Handle chemicals in accordance with COSHH, QMS Procedures and relevant Health and Safety standards.*Carry out first line maintenance on instruments & mechanical equipment.*Carry out calibration of equipment in order to ensure accuracy and reliability.*Use the iSCADA control system, PCs and other computer hardware and software*Carry out grass-cutting, weed-killing and general maintenance in order to maintain site conditions in accordance with relevant procedures.
[b]The Ideal Catchment Operator:[/b]
*Able to take part in a flexible working pattern which is in operation that includes undertaking standby and call-outs and working evenings and weekends on a rota basis*Experience of working independently using initiative to tackle and solve problems*Experience of working in a team and an understanding of the importance of teamwork*Feedback work completion in real time and to the required standard to support decision making and performance tracking across the team.*Able to work to a high standard, with a focus on quality of work carried out to enable compliance with our regulated consents*Have the ability to problem solve and fault find.*Practical experience or relevant qualification in Waste Water operations would be advantageous but not essential if you have the ability and are willing to learn and progress.

In return for your hard work as our Catchment Operator, we can offer a Starting salary [b]20,242 per annum[/b] dependent on skills and experience + a working pattern supplement (Progressing to [b]26,486 per annum[/b] based on Waste Water Progression Scheme). We offer a working pattern supplement payment.
